Renaissance Zhongshan Park Hotel – Shanghai, China – Best Service and Location
It has been about 18 months since we last visited Shanghai. We stayed at the Renaissance Zhongshan Park Hotel many times, so we knew what to expect. Last time we stayed 2 weeks, so we got to know a lot more of the staff. We wrote the Director of Rooms, Mr. Jeffrey Liu that we were coming, and he made the effort to personally greet us one day in the lounge. All the staff at the Renaissance Zhongshan Park Hotel are hard working and always ready to accommodate the guests at the hotel.
The head chef there, Radi, is also tirelessly working to provide fantastic meals from breakfast, light snacks in the afternoon and a full array of dishes for dinner for the guests in the lounge. Food is fantastic and you will never leave feeling hungry. The views from the lounge are also breathtaking. On the 59th floor, you can see the city and when it is clear, the tall buildings on the Pudong side. This is the highest lounge of the Renaissance Hotel’s in the world. Rooms are being renovated as of this writing, so you may get the chance to experience a newly remodeled room in the near future.
The hotel is connected with the Cloud9 Mall which gives you tons of options to walk around without having to go outside. Go for dessert, pick up a pastry from one of the many bakeries or even do grocery shopping at the Carrefore, it is all there for you.
The hotel even gives you access to the 12th floor gym where you can use one of the numerous treadmills, elliptical, machine weights, or free weights. There’s room to stretch and do your cool downs. There is also a pool with large changing rooms along with dry saunas.
The hotel is also connected to 3 metro lines. Number 2 line can take you East or West and even directly to either Pudong Airport or Hongqiao Airport. Number 3 and 4 are above ground but are also directly connected to the mall and can take you pretty much wherever you need to go or to transfer to your preferred destination.
The famous Zhongshan Park is a buzz of activity just a block away. There are pathways to circle the park with small amusement rides at one corner. Mainly though, you can see the numerous activities taking place from many different groups of dancing, martial arts, singing, instrument playing and even kite flying.
All-in-all, the Renaissance Zhongshan Park Hotel has it all. Your experience will start from the moment you arrive by car, to the bellman securing your belongings, to pleasant check-in service on the 25th floor, and to settling into your room. You’ll find it hard to find another hotel as well situated as this one and with such excellent service. Enjoy the views, amenities and polite staff at this hotel, it’ll make your trip in Shanghai that much more enjoyable.
