Morimoto Asia – Orlando, Florida – Great Atmosphere and Decor!
The hotel staff at Four Points by Sheraton Orlando International Drive told us about the Disney Springs area. We didn’t know much about it but thought we should drive down there and take a look. We wanted to try something else for dinner and not the usual things like Cheesecake Factory or P.F. Chang’s (although we did go the next night at Sawgrass Mills!).
While walking around and really enjoying the grounds of Disney Springs, we saw Morimoto Asia and really wanted to give it a try. It was pretty busy so when we got to the front to ask for a table for 2, it was at least an hour wait. We asked if there was any seating on the patio area and they did have some so we were happy to sit there and eat right away.
We have to say, the inside of the restaurant looked absolutely beautiful. There are two levels with the upstairs having a bar style seating and a lounge area. All along the outside edges of the second level were private booths. Looks like a reservation would be in order to secure one of those!
Their kitchen area looked pretty nice being behind the glass. The decor was pretty amazing and even the washrooms had a nice ambiance with photos on the wall.
I ordered the Morimoto Chicken Fried Rice which had a nice spice to it. It was a pretty decent sized dish and came in the shape of a pyramid. My better half ordered the Spicy Chashu Pork Ramen which she liked but didn’t love. She loves spicy but found this one to be too spicy. I had a taste of it, I found it spicy as well but didn’t have as much so my mouth wasn’t on fire.
Overall, we did enjoy the meal and the decor of the restaurant and would definitely go back to try other things on the menu and next time, try to eat in the main restaurant.
Tip: They have a take-out section as well in the event you don’t have time to sit.
