Air Canada A330-300 – Toronto to Venice
We were so excited to get our trip started by flying business class from Toronto to Venice. After a visit to the Maple Leaf Lounge, we got to our gate and not long afterwards, boarded the plane. We were in 7D and 7G which are the two center seats in a 1-2-1 configuration.

The mattress pad and pillow were ready for us when we got to our seats. The food/work tray slides towards you at a slightly downward angle and then flips over to increase counter space. Included were noise cancelling headphones and a very basic amenity kit. Look for the new Acqua di Parma amenity kits they give out now.

The cabin was bright and airy, even with overhead bins to store your carry-on luggage, it didn’t feel cramped.

The lie-flat seats were very comfortable and afforded us with a good nap so that we arrived fresh at our destination. The controls were simple and efficient. The IFE controller did the job, although there was no screen on it to track the flight while watching a movie on the main screen. There was one more cubby hole under the arm rest to store small belongings.

On to meal service, which was pretty decent but we’ll let you know how it compares to Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines and others on an upcoming trip.

As our home airline, we find that Air Canada doesn’t get quite the recognition it should. Staff all around are good and enjoy serving guests and don’t mind striking up a conversation. The hard product is also quite decent, we can’t wait until the day when they have newer designs with doors though! All-in-all, we were happy with the flight and would always choose to fly Air Canada as the alternatives seem less desirable.
Thanks
