Location: Starbucks Paris, France – 3 Bd des Capucines – Stunningly Beautiful Interior

We weren’t looking for this particular Starbucks but it was one of the closer ones to our hotel at The Westin Paris Vendome. It was also along the way to the Hard Rock CafĂ© in hopes we can find some pins for our collection.

Upon entering the Starbucks, we couldn’t believe how large it was inside. The interior was more opera house style than a regular Starbucks. Apparently it used to be a bank before it became a Starbucks and the exterior looks to be decked out with black marble.

The ordering area was your usual chaos of lines and baristas moving as fast as they can to fulfill orders. There was a good sized shelf of mugs and tumblers for sale.

Once past the ordering area, there are about 5-6 steps up to get to the seating area which is where this Starbucks sets itself apart from other Starbucks.

We ordered a sandwich and a couple of drinks as we weren’t really in the mood to eat but we wanted to sit to enjoy the atmosphere here. The sandwich itself was nothing to write home about (or really to mention in this blog!).

The seating in this Starbucks is more divided than just one big open area. It leads to a more cozier feel if you are in a larger group and lucky enough to take an entire room. Smaller groups like us seemed to be more content sitting along a leather bench with a small round table to set our food and drinks on. Individual high back chairs are also available so you can sit back and enjoy conversation with a friend. Of course, there are tables for those that stay for hours with their laptops plugged in, stealing WiFi and ordering water!

When not sipping your drink, eating or chatting, take a moment to look around and up to the ceilings and enjoy the hours of craftsmanship that went into the design of this wonderful space.

As beautiful as this space was, one thing to note is the washrooms. Don’t expect them to be to spotlessly clean. It was pretty wet and muggy inside and not the cleanest. Although I can’t blame them as the amount of traffic going through there is crazy and I doubt any employee looks forward to cleaning them.
