Disney Springs – Orlando, Florida – A Great Place For People of All Ages
The staff at our Four Points by Sheraton Orlando hotel told us about Disney Springs. They gave us a map and it looked pretty with a couple of Starbucks there. So we had some hope that we might find something unique to add to our collection. Hoping to really get the four coveted You Are Here mugs from Disney World but it wasn’t to be.
Getting to Disney Springs was pretty easy going down I4. Parking was free so that was a nice bonus. Getting in there and not knowing what we would see ended up being a nice surprise. It was bigger than we expected with lot’s of shops and restaurants. We loved seeing the Christmas themes around the grounds and the unique Christmas trees that they put up. The hot air balloon going up and down was a nice sight and offered up some great pictures. There were some great stores like the Marvel Super Hero Headquarters and the Star Wars Galactic Outpost.
As we walked further into the grounds, there were tons of different restaurants. We decided on the Morimoto Asia which you can read in more detail on a separate blog we wrote.
One of the neatest stores we saw was the LEGO store. They had huge sculptures of The Hulk, Toy Story, Star Wars, a dragon battling a knight on a horse and in the water, a huge sea serpent!
Close by, was the World of Disney store, it was absolutely HUGE! Every single Disney theme had their own section where they had all sorts of merchandise from chocolates, to umbrellas to mugs and everything in between. You could go seriously broke trying to collect something from every theme.
As we walked along we came up to the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail where they had fake snow blowing around with a Christmas tree from every theme of Disney.
We made it over the Rainforest Cafe which from the other side of Disney Springs looked like a huge volcano across a lake.
We had such a great time at Disney Springs. Going in there with no expectations and coming out surprised at how nice the grounds were with such a lively atmosphere is what we love to experience. And experience it we did and hope you do too.
