Miami Airport Marriott – Miami, Florida – A Bit Old But Conveniently Located
We drove into Miami late at night after coming from Orlando and visiting a couple of malls along the way. The location is convenient and easy to find, just basically follow the way to the airport and you’ll get there. The parking is gated so once you enter, you’re going to end up paying for parking. There’s the Courtyard by Marriott Miami Airport as well in the same area which shares the parking.

Upon entering the hotel, it looked pretty nice with the lounge to the immediate left, a bar area to the left, check-in straight ahead and then a small convenience store called Mia’s Pantry to the right. Our check-in was relatively easy and we got to our room. It was recently renovated and clean. By about 1am we were ready to finally sleep, however, we could hear a humming vibration coming through the walls. As we tried to sleep, the noise became more and more annoying so we had to call the front desk about it. Security came up and confirmed the sound and gave us a couple of choices of rooms to change. We had to pack up our stuff, talk to the front desk and then re-settle back into another room in another tower. At least this time, there was no noise but it was past 2am by the time we could finally get to sleep.

The building is old being built in 1965 with thin walls. Even when the rooms are renovated, the bones are still the same. If you have more time to spend at the hotel, you could make use of the gym or the outdoor pool or hot tub which looked pretty nice.

In the morning, we went to the lounge to grab breakfast, there was a decent array of food with an omelette station to choose what you would like and have it cooked fresh for you. The coffee machine was pretty decent as well and you can grab other drinks in the fridges below.

One of the things we always love about travelling is meeting people. A gentleman sitting at the table next to us was originally from the U.K. but now living in Dubai. We had a great talk with him for about 30 minutes about the travels he did and how living in Dubai was for his wife and young son. It was great insight into the real estate market there, something that we’ll have to consider the next time we go back to Dubai!

Thanks
