The St. Regis Hotel Shanghai Jingan - Shanghai, China - Pure Opulence

We were really excited about trying a different hotel in a different area of Shanghai. This is super close to the West Nanjing Road area which is very lively and surrounded with great shops, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery and a high-end shopping mall.

The room was absolutely immaculate, with the bathroom being half the size of the entire room. Everything about this room was perfect and made our stay so enjoyable. We really didn’t want to leave. Being up on the 58th floor as well, the views were breathtaking. With floor to ceiling windows, and facing towards the Pudong side, we could see the entire business district with all the tallest towers.

The view from our room was absolutely amazing. Being on the 58th floor and facing Pudong, we could see the light show of all the buildings every night.

The moment you walk into the hotel, you are greeted with front staff like John, who helps you with any questions you need, even finding a great place for Thai dinner. On the right will be the individual desks for check-in. The ceilings are super tall with a huge chandelier and a beautiful piano in which a pianist comes to play in the afternoon. Further back is the restaurant to have high-tea and enjoy a mid-afternoon snack. On the left is the full sized restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Below ground spanning a square block are the numerous convention rooms, nails and spa, and a massive pool area with workout gym and yoga room.

We spoke with the staff about a longer stay and the options they had. They told us they have a service apartment option for those that stay a month or longer. We made an appointment to see them, they were quite nice and spacious and come with full kitchens. Pretty much like a 2 bedroom condo or a 1 bedroom condo, depending on how much room you need. Room service comes about 2 times a week instead of daily, but for most, that should suffice.
