Oslo, Norway – Home of the Vikings

We boarded our ship, the Regal Princess, in Copenhagen and the first stop on our 12 night Baltic Sea cruise was Oslo, Norway. It was a cloudy day and not too warm but we walked around the city as much as possible. The docks were actually not too far away from the city, we didn’t need to take a transfer at all to get into the city.

We knew there was a Starbucks at the Oslo Central Station, so we walked over there and found it! We were so happy to get our City Mug there! The station was quite large with a huge area to buy food, confectionery, or even sit down for lunch in one of the numerous restaurants.

So after walking Eastward, we decided to head back to the center of the city and we ended up walking all the way West to the The Royal Palace. Along the way, we walked past churches, statues, art and lot’s of interesting shops. The pastries looked so good, unfortunately, we were still too full from breakfast to pig out on them.

The last stop, because we were tired of walking all day and up hill, was The Royal Palace. The grounds were immaculate and absolutely huge. Construction started in 1824 and finished in the 1840’s.

We had a great time walking around Oslo, Norway. We were so happy to see the sights and to get our Starbucks City Mug.

Thanks
