Tallinn, Estonia – Charming and a Souvenir Collector’s Dream

After the Regal Princess ship docked, we had a short bus ride to the drop off point to begin our adventure in Tallinn, Estonia. Tallinn is quite hilly but it certainly has character. It was quite lively and the weather was perfect. You could see people really enjoying their time here and relaxing over a nice lunch in the middle of the piazza.

Tallinn is a souvenir collectors dream. There were so many different shops selling a variety of items like wood coasters of all sizes, candles, toys, fruit baskets, iron works, and more.

We took the time to sit and have a bite. We saw a TripAdvisor approved cafe called Reval Cafe. We definitely enjoyed resting our feet over a cappuccino and pastry.

As we walked further up, we got to Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Unfortunately, there was scaffolding around it so we couldn’t see it in its glory.

As we reached the top of Tallinn, we finally reached Toompea Castle. It is now a parliament building but from this area, the view of the entire city was great. Pikk Hermann (pictured below) is a medieval tower atop Toompea Castle.

We left Tallinn with souvenirs that we use every day. Unfortunately, no Starbucks here but that’s OK, we have quite a haul already to take home.

Thanks
