Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt Airport (FRA) – How Does This Compare to Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge?
After visiting the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, we decided to head over and do more lounge hoping to the Lufthansa Business Lounge and see how this lounge compares.
Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt Airport (FRA) – Entrance
The entrance to this lounge wasn’t clearly evident as it was in the middle of a circular area with gates all surrounding it. As you walk around though, you will see the sign and a winding staircase that leads up as well as the elevator. I think it was due to them having these temporary wall panels blocking the view that we didn’t see it at first.

Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt Airport (FRA) – Lounge
Once you pass the check-in below and get upstairs you are warmly greeted by the staff up top to enjoy your stay. The lounge itself is fairly modern, bright with lots of windows for about 300 degrees and very large. There are many different types of seating here just like the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge which you can read here.
This lounge even has a kids play area and glass stalls for you to make private phone calls without disturbing other people. In addition, they have showers but they looked rather old looking and could use an update like the ones in the Maple Leaf Lounge.

Lufthansa Business Lounge – Food
The food choices were better here than the Maple Leaf Lounge, they just had more of everything from hot foods, soups, bread, drinks and snacks.

Lufthansa Business Lounge – Washrooms and Showers
This was one area that was less impressive than the Maple Leaf Lounge. The washrooms and showers could certainly benefit from a renovation as they looked about 20 years old. They were still kept clean though but this area is dated.

Conclusion
We definitely liked the Lufthansa Business Lounge more than the Maple Leaf Lounge. The setting and seating areas were just more comfortable and the temperature and air quality was much better here. Food and drink choices were also greater and they seemed to have much more staff taking care of everything.
So if we had a choice and needed to take a shower on a layover in Frankfurt, we would go to the Maple Leaf Lounge and shower there, once all washed up, we would head to the Lufthansa Business Lounge to enjoy the food, drink and atmosphere. So neither is perfect but they are both good lounges in many aspects.
