Australian Open Tennis Tournament – Melbourne, Australia
What a venue! My personal favourite grand slam place out of them all! Huge grounds with a top notch stadium. We watched some great matches in Rod Laver Arena the first day. Yes, the sun was hot but not burning crazy. We sat next to a couple from New Zealand, we guess they were used to the heat because they were wearing jeans!
We had such a great time that we went purchased stadium tickets for the next day because Roger Federer was playing against Andreas Seppi. To our disappointment, Federer lost in 4 sets but Seppi played so well that it was a well deserved win for him.

After watching two full days, you would think we would be burned out from sitting and watching but the grounds of the Australian Open are so huge and full of events all around, you can never stop having fun! Even when we left the grounds, we would end up in Federation Square in the middle of downtown and sit with hundreds of other people just watching on a huge screen (more like a wall of a building).

The food, coffee, ease of getting around are just awesome in Melbourne. Keep an eye out for my other articles in Melbourne!

Tip: You can book your tickets on the day inside and just outside the grounds and even in Federation Square as they have a booth there. So unlike other Grand Slam tournaments, it’s a lot easier to get tickets.
Thanks
