Tapagria Spanish Tapas Restaurant – Thornhill, Ontario, Canada
This is about the fourth time we’ve been to Tapagria. Needless to say, we like this restaurant a lot. We’ve gone before with groups of 4 and ordered the 4-5 person set menu but today we had a group of 9 and went with the 7-8 person menu.
We made a reservation through Open Table and upon arriving we had a booth. The manager recognized us and was good enough to seat us in the private dining room with no extra charge as it was a weekday evening.
Once we ordered the set menu, food started coming fast and furious and we couldn’t have been happier!
We had a strawberry salad (2 plates), mushroom croquettes, truffle fries (2 plates), bone marrow, hot chicken wings (my personal favourite!), a huge meat & cheese platter, jumbo garlic prawns, garlic mussels, fried calamari, rib eye steak, roasted pork shoulder and lastly the famous Paella de Tapagria which has shrimp, chicken, chorizo and mussels in it.
If you have a large or small party, you gotta try it. They change the set menus every 4 months to keep things fresh and exciting, which we agree is nice since you get to experience different foods.
Located just off of HWY 404 and HWY 7, it’s easy to find and tons of parking on the other side of the building (only a 2 minute walk the most).
Tip: Use Open Table to make a reservation, you will collect points. For the restaurant, go with the set menu, you won’t finish it! If something else on the menu catches your eye and it’s not on the set menu, add it on, especially the Jamon Date Wraps, they are delicious! View the full site here: https://www.tapagria.com/
