The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa Hotel Review – Phuket, Thailand – Complete Relaxation!
We flew into Phuket at night and had arranged for a transfer as we didn’t really know how else to get to The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa. Luckily we did, it was pretty far away and went through so many winding and secluded roads. However, once there, we were greeted by the very friendly staff. Our luggage was shuttled up to our room while we hopped onto a golf cart like vehicle to take us to our room. It is a hilly area with lots of steps but we certainly enjoyed going up and down the landscape and enjoying the views. We really liked the sitting areas where they would have a pagoda with nice outdoor sofas to really sink in and relax.
Our room was a fair size, with a decent bathroom. It was comfortable, quiet and the view was very nice which we could enjoy on the spacious balcony with some plush chairs. A few geckos joined us during our stay.
During our stay, we were quite far from anything else like restaurants, the main town of Phuket and Patong so we did have dinner and lunch on the resort a number of times. There was an Italian restaurant which we had once for dinner but we mainly ate Thai food and it was pretty darn delicious.
We didn’t use the gym or business center as we were here to relax. It was pretty spacious and at most times, empty.
The grounds were immaculate and quite pleasing to walk around which we did quite often. There were small bridges, waterfalls, and plenty of sitting areas. The restaurants were also all around the resort and of course, the spa building was front and center.
One morning we had a visitor on our balcony rail, it was a monkey! Apparently, our neighbour left some fruit in her room and the monkey ran in a grabbed it. We heard her scream and when we came out, the monkey was on the rail eating.
Our absolute favourite place to relax was the infinity pool. We probably went there three times. You can order drinks right in the pool, sun tan on the reclining deck chairs, swim or just chill and watch the sunset.
We had a wonderful time here and used the shuttle service to go to the town of Phuket and to Patong. We will cover those in a different post.
