US Open Tennis Tournament – New York, USA – The 4th and Final Grand Slam

New York is about a 12 hour drive for us to get there so once we got in, we got to our hotel, the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel. We even got free t-shirts from the hotel commemorating the US Open.

Our tickets were for the grounds and access to Louis Armstrong Stadium in which we got to watch Agnieszka Radwanska vs Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

It turned out to be a nice hot day and the grounds were buzzing with excitement, you could feel it in the air. The grounds itself were quite large and there were a lot of unique venues to have different types of foods. Wilson is the big sponsor at this tournament and they were show casing the Wilson Baiardo Stringing Machines. I have to say, they looked really nice.

We wandered outside the grounds as well and got to view the iconic Unisphere.

As the night settled in, it got even more lively. The US Open is known for its late night matches that can go beyond midnight, even 1 or 2 am.

We had a great time at the US Open, the grounds were huge and there were lots of activities for everyone, including a kids program. As good as it was, it still ranks as 3rd for us behind the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

Thanks
