W Hotel Bangkok, Thailand- A Swanky Hotel
After Phuket we took a flight to Bangkok and then a cab to the W Hotel Bangkok. The lobby was huge with large black marble adorning the walls with music blaring in the background. It’s not your normal hotel, much more lively and different, even from the other W Hotels that we’ve been to in Barcelona and Miami Beach.
The room was really different, lots of different materials, minimalist concept bathroom, a smart pad to control the lights, tv, etc. and large gold boxing gloves on the bed.
The huge “W” on the wall makes it hard to miss!
The gym was pretty impressive with lot’s of room, machines, weights, kicking bag and water to keep you hydrated.
We wandered through the other areas of the hotel and saw the conference rooms. We must have just missed a big event, the equipment was still out.
The pool area was just as impressive with cabanas, sculptures and mood lighting. We went at night to check it out and on the last day of our stay we went to enjoy it during the hot day. Unfortunately, there was a commercial shoot going on and we couldn’t go in the pool.
The breakfast at the W Bangkok was a delight. The area spanned a large area and had different stations for different types of foods. Even the yogurt came in a reusable glass jar.
We enjoyed our stay here at The W Bangkok Hotel. The staff were super friendly and we had some great advice where to eat dinner and how to get to the sites around the city.
